MNT36050 50mm Refractor Telescope Kit

MNT36050 50mm Refractor Telescope Kit
Explore the Moon and distant scenery with the Minolta MNT36050 refractor telescope kit. A 50mm objective lens and 360mm focal length pair with two included eyepieces for 18x and 60x magnification, giving you a choice of viewing power as you locate and observe your subject.
The azimuth mount lets you aim the telescope horizontally and vertically, while a hybrid 90° diagonal prism positions the eyepiece at a comfortable viewing angle. Use the included 1.5x erecting lens for correctly oriented terrestrial views or the Moon filter to reduce lunar glare. A tripod with center brace supports the telescope, and a heavy-duty carrying case protects the kit during storage and transport.

Start with a Wider View
Begin with the H20 eyepiece to locate your subject, then center it before switching to the H6 for a closer look. Lower magnification also makes it easier to follow objects as they move through the view.
Choose Your Viewing Location
Set up outdoors with a clear line of sight. Viewing through a window can introduce reflections and distortion, while allowing the telescope to adjust to outdoor temperatures helps prepare it for observation.
Fine-Tune Your View
Turn the focusing knobs slowly until your subject appears sharp. After repositioning the telescope, allow any movement to settle before making small focus adjustments.
Care Between Outings
Let the telescope and accessories dry before packing them away. Replace the lens caps during storage and avoid touching optical surfaces to help keep the kit ready for your next session.
